Everyone who has ambitions of being better with women, needs to fill their potential will how good they can look. Workout hard, eat well and make a conscious effort to work on your fashion and grooming.

Working Out

You’ll find that when you start working out, you’ll go through this honeymoon period where you’re excited to be going down the gym all the time, but after a couple of workouts, once you start to feel sore and beaten up after a few workouts, it is going to start to feel like a chore. If you can battle through that first month of so, you will ingrain it as a habit, and have so much momentum behind you, that it becomes something that you don’t even need to think about.

“Working out makes you look better, feel more confident, attract more women and be more sexually attractive.”

Ollie recommends seeing a personal trainer at first as they have the knowledge to dramatically increase your learning curve, or even just a friend who has got the results himself.

Ollie goes to the gym 5 days a week, for about an hour a time. He focuses on one body part per workout: biceps, triceps, back, legs, shoulders and chest. Have 2 rest days per week, which can be together or not.

“Mix up free weights and machines.”

If you’ve never been to the gym before, begin by developing your overall strength by doing compound movements, and whole body workouts, rather than splitting each workout into targeting a specific muscle group. Once you’re familiar with the movements, and feel as though you are strong enough, then break the workouts up, and exhaust each muscle group.

Keep mixing up workouts and using variations of movements, as we tend to plateau after about 3-weeks.

“Don’t let the gym become your life.”

Ollie proves you don’t have to live in the gym to have a lean, fit body. And you certainly don’t need to be a beefed up bodybuilder to look good. The main thing is that he is consistent in his training and finds ways to get in regular exercise, something we could all do.

Nutrition

1. Stop snacking

Snacking is the number one way to add hundreds of unnecessary calories to your diet. Instead of fighting off hunger for 6 hours between meals, instead try eating smaller meals more frequently, anywhere from 4-7 a day. If you are going to snack, have a handful of nuts and fruit.

2. Allow a cheat-day

Eat strictly 6-days a week, and give yourself a ‘cheat day’ once a week where you allow yourself to eat whatever you want.

3. Don’t binge eat at night

Guys get into the habit of not eating all day and then eating far too much at night in compensation. By eating a big meal before bed, all the energy is converted straight to fat. Breakfast is the most important meal, which Ollie recommends eating porridge or oats.

4. Don’t eat white carbs

Stop eating white carbs, such as pasta and bread because it causes a spike in insulin levels which makes you fat, and can eventually cause diabetes.

5. Use a lean, mean, grilling machine to cook meat.

Guys think that eating chicken coated in oil is a good source of protein, when in reality it’s going to make you fat. Use a grill to cook meat as it gets rid of a high amount of the fat.

“If it tastes good, spit it out” – Arnie

Don’t eat for the last 2-3 hours before you go to bed, as this is where you are most dormant, and any excess calories are going to be converted straight into fat.

Work your abs before you go to bed, as this will re-boost your metabolism just before you go to bed, and burn off your dinner, so that you wake up, you are hungry and craving a big breakfast the next morning.

When you are the ideal size, but wanting to get cut, take all the carbs out of your diet, and only eat protein and fats. Do more high-intensity training, lift lighter weights for more reps and implement more cardio into your workouts. You want to sweat more, and that will cut your fat down. This is when all the definition comes.

Fashion

Dress in such a way that is going to appeal the maximum amount of women. Start off by following more mainstream trends, and then you can build on that by adding in elements of your own persona. This is how you develop an image that is both congruent with your own personality, and mainstream.

1. Cut and fit are the keys to good fashion.

Your clothes should accentuate the good elements of your physique. If a garment fits well then it will make no difference whether it’s from Primark or Dolce & Gabbana.

2. Subtle = stylish.

Lots of guys think that wearing bright colours will make them stand out and enhance their personality. No! You will stand out, but for all the wrong reasons. Why risk wearing a loud shirt which you think looks great when it is more than likely that other people will think it looks more like a primary school kid’s painting! Subtle colours combined with a good fit will give a truly stylish appearance.

3. Think James Bond.

It sounds corny but think what James Bond would wear. Why? Because he gets all the women! The way we dress represents our wider personality. If you dress in a sophisticated, trendy manner then that is how you will be seen by those around you.

Finally, don’t forget the power of a good image isn’t a new concept. As the man said: “ Clothes maketh the man ”.

  • Great podcast with some great content, loved it! I really liked the fashion part but i have some questions about t-shirts! :)

If James Bond would ever wear a T-shirt – what kind would it be? ;) V-neck, scoop neck or “normal” ones? Or something else maybe? I think normal ones often look stiff especially when they are under ie a blazer.

And okay they should be well-fitted but what about the sleeves? Are kinda tight sleeves that are a little rolled up the way to go?

Thanks for another great podcast guys! I have liked every single one of them so far, keep em comming! :D

  • The nutrition discussion was full of misinformation and a bit of contradiction. Nutrition is really important but best get a qualified nutritionist in with the right knowledge and experience backed by studies rather than hearsay.

    • Hey Richard,

What particular parts did you disagree with or find contradictory? If you give me some more detail I can ask Ollie what he thinks.

      • Hi Andy,

I’ve probably read too much Dr John Briffa recent (who totally takes the fun out of eating I’ll say straight off) but brown rice and pasta, whilst slightly better than the white equivalents are still just carbs without any other nutritional value. I felt it was contradictory to say early on in the nutrition section that these were okay, but when Marcus asked about what was left of his gut we was told to cut carbs out – which I’d agree with. If we’re talking about cutting carbs then potatoes are also worth a mention for the same reasons as rice, pasta and breads.

Also, fat is not necessarily a bad thing – in fact it is a good thing. Olive oil is awesome. There are other oils high in omega-3 which is good stuff. So a chicken cooked in rapeseed oil (which has a very unfortunate name) for example would be a good thing. A key thing to better nutrition would be to cut out processed foods and go natural. I can’t remember if that was mentioned in the podcast (Whole foods were) but it’s not in the notes.

I probably sounded like an arsehole in that first message. That wasn’t my intention but I was having a bad day at work and I couldn’t stop myself from being curt. The rest of the content was good and enlightening. Keep up the good work.

        • Yeah I love Olive oil – I’m glad u say it’s healthy!

I think there’s always gonna be varying advise when it comes to nutrition. Everyone seems to have their own opinion and it can be very confusing.

But take a look at Ollie, he’s got a great looking physique, so he can’t be too wrong with the advice he gives, so I’m gonna follow it and see what happens.

If you see photos of me starting to get fat then you know that it isn’t going too well ;)

  • Good stuff as always. Though I disagree with some of the fitness advice. (Fitness and Nutrition are kinda like religion though, there are a million different opinions and everyone is arguing).

    Firstly, beside the cable ones, machines have very little place in any gym, beyond injury recovery (and I’m being generous here). They are only used because;
    1) The gym don’t have to spend time and money teaching people how to use proper weights.
2)It’s very hard to injure yourself on a machine, so lower insurance costs and less chance of getting sued.(Though in the long run the unnatural range of motion that most machines force you to follow will cause injuries.)
3)Ego boost to users, who think they’re the sh!t cause they maxed out a peck deck.

Secondly rather then doing a muscle building weightlifting program and then a fat burning cardio/running program after, it’s far better to combine the two and do a free weight program that targets both effectively.

The problem with running and other such “steady state” cardio is that they work against muscle building, essentially burning more muscle than fat (look at marathon runners) plus it’s going to take you more time to do both.

If you follow a weightlifting regime with lots of large movements (squats, dead lifts, lunges, clean and press) coupled with very short rest intervals, circuits and complexes, believe me your heart will starting racing like crazy, and you’ll be working the muscles too, saving time. Check out cutting edge trainers such as Alwyn Cosgrove, Christian Thibaudeau, Chad Waterbury.

  • Sup people. A very interesting podcast.

I remember using once using a “spartan method” when I needed to loose weight to enter a competition. A few kilograms (or pounds) were keeping me in the heavy category and I wanted to compete in a lower weight category. You’d know what I mean when you do martial arts. Kyokushin to be exact. There’s a lot of ass kicking on those competitions … and if the dude’s heavier and more experienced than you… well… guard your head…

Anyway, I lost 5 kilograms(or 11 lbs) for 1 week. I was 83kg, and after 1 week I dropped to 78kg. After the competition ended I abandoned my diet and gained all the weight back in 1 week.

If someone is interested I can share to you guys what I did.
