The Daygame Podcast #50 – Stepping Back, and the Power of Perspective

Tom and John catch up with Andy Yosha, who’s fresh off the plane from his exciting USA tour. They discuss the importance of taking a break and recharging your batteries to actually take your game to the next level when you come back to it energised.

Podcast notes:
* Andy’s bootcamp tour of San Francisco, Austin, Miami and New York.
* John’s detox from girls, alcohol and professional poker. How time off can actually raise
your game. Balancing Daygame with the rest of your life.
* Stepping back and keeping perspective. The power of travelling. Letting go of your day-to-
day anchors.
* Recharging your batteries and remembering the over-stimulation of big cities.
* Meditation to help with an over-active mind.
* Real game as starting from you, not the girl. Being happy in yourself and reflecting this
positive energy. Not getting the girl to like you, but liking yourself first and showing her
that.
* Andy’s celebrity story as a reminder that the skill-set will only get you so far.
* John’s chilled vibe vs. Tom and Andy’s higher energy. Avoiding the try-hard vibe,
balancing intent with a freedom from outcome. Why less is more.
* Plans for a fly-on-the-wall bootcamp documentary in the next few weeks.

  • Great podcast guys! The bit about travelling was interesting as im thinking of going away this summer for a bit of a daygame adventure to somewhere like Prague or Budapest. :D

The plans for a fly-on-the-wall bootcamp documentary is a great idea as well!

  • ey man im inspired by you guys man. guys that go for what they want unapologetically and against all social condition etc. Im going to start my daygame journey now. Respect

  • Tom, how do you fit in two dates in one night?! (I’m happy with one a week)…is it all about guessing which one is most up for it?

  • Setting up back-to-back dates is a good idea for loads of reasons. You can do more than two. A bit like spread betting. For most of my d2s I don’t try to f-close so I can be sure of timings. It’s good for you to be the one to end the date first, not her, as it leaves her wanting more. You get momentum and great state, as well as less chance of needy behaviour as you know you’ve got abundance.

If one date’s going really well and it’s on, then I might rearrange the later ones for another day over text. You’d be surprised how powerful flaking on a girl is; it will never have happened to her before and she’ll be even more keen to meet. Counterintuitive, I know, but most things in game are ;-)

No one daygames in America, even NYC?! AFAIK loads of guys do it and not just PUAs. I daygamed a girl in NYC and she said it happens occasionally and she was only about an 8. And Janka used to live out there, I’m sure he must have reached out to a few local guys.

    • Andy was talking about the direct Yad-style daygame stop. There’s loads of guys doing all the indirect stuff (Janka style) but I don’t think many following the Daygame Blueprint (i-dates, bounce backs etc).

Let us know if there are guys trying what we do across America – we’d love to hear how it works for you and your city.

And I’ve opened girls here who have responded with, “Oh, this is very American!”

  • Full bootcamp documentary would be awesome.

The Andy flying/Devon comment cracked me up. I was thinking about how much I agreed with him when the Devon jab came up. Being from Devon, well… I guess it’s true.

  • god everyone daygames in NY and mostly direct actually lol I have spots here I go to stay away form the pick up guys
